The room itself was fine, but I wasn't happy with the service. The host only speaks Spanish, which made it hard to communicate. I brought a friend to the room and was then asked to pay 20 Euros. I couldn't understand why, since that wasn't written anywhere. They said they would call the police, so we paid. I don't recommend it.

It's the cheapest hostal in central Madrid, and it's clean and close to Gran Via. I'd recommend it.

For its central location, the price was reasonable, though it got noisy at night. The owner was quite friendly. The room was plain but clean, with a TV and refrigerator, and guests could use a small kitchen with a microwave.
