The location is very convenient, right in the middle of everything. The bathrooms are tiny, though, and the electricity went out at least five times in just one night. The AC barely worked all day either.

The hostal is right on Madrid's shopping street, near lots of attractions, but the rooms are old and shabby. I wouldn't book again.

Good value for the money and a great location, but the walls are so thin you lose your privacy. Bring earplugs.

There's a bit of a strange smell, though you can't hear the street foot traffic. You can hear through the thin walls between rooms, but earplugs do the job.
