The receptionists were pleasant, though they spoke very little English, and we had no bedbugs. But our room and bathroom were dirty, and there was a strange smell in the room. We could hear everything from the neighboring rooms and the front door. The sheets and towels were changed once during our stay. I wouldn't recommend this place.

It's right in the center, but I wouldn't stay again. The room was so cramped that opening the door was almost impossible, and the walls were dirty and smelled old. They seemed paper thin, too. Around 3 a.m., people were arguing outside the doors and nobody told them to quiet down.

There was a strong urine smell, and the sink was in the same room as the toilet. I asked for my money back, but the man refused and said the rooms looked like the photos. They really didn't. This was the worst room I've ever seen. If you want to avoid health problems, stay away.

Just by Sol in central Madrid, this was a very nice, clean place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the front desk was open 24/7. There was free Wi-Fi, a large flat-screen TV, and a heater in the room. Recommended.

I've stayed at the hostel twice. The rooms are decent.
