The location is the only thing I liked. My single room was tiny, and the shelf by the TV had a thick layer of dust. There was mold between the bathroom tiles, and the bathroom didn't seem clean. The air conditioning didn't work, so they gave me a fan. Even if it had worked, I wouldn't have felt comfortable using it because I wasn't sure what might come out of it. The room was unbearably hot. When I checked out, I asked to leave my luggage while I walked around the city center, and they offered a locker for an extra €3. It wasn't the cost itself, but the whole experience made me feel like I was in a hostel. I don't think it was worth what I paid, and I definitely won't be back.

The beds are so small they seem meant for children, and half my feet hung over the end. I'm staying here now, and at 1 AM in the August heat I still can't sleep. Staff say the air conditioning is broken, and I'm being bitten constantly because of the filth. At this point I'd rather escape and sleep on the street. Don't ruin your holiday like I did. The photos aren't trustworthy either, they all lie.

The staff at the front desk couldn't be nicer, and the location is handy, with good tapas nearby around the handsome Teatro Calderon and Plaza Santa Ana. Tapas Santa Ana was the best meal I had in Madrid. The rooms are comfortable, especially the doubles at the front, which are worth a look, but there aren't really any amenities. The rates are the standout, though you only get them with your own personal charm. There are some tough competitors in the neighborhood, so it may be worth shopping around.

I booked through booking and loved how well placed the hotel was. The room felt cozy and modern, and even though the area can get noisy at night, the windows kept the sound out. I had a great stay and would recommend it 100%.

We stayed one night as a family, and both the room and bathroom were clean. Being right in the city center was great. But when I asked the receptionist for hot water for tea, he said they didn't have a kettle. I also asked him where to get the best churros, and he showed me a spot on Maps that turned out to be a nightclub. Dude, really?
