Space Center Madrid

The location isn't bad and the price is low, but the property was awful and I strongly advise against staying there. It used to be a student residence and is now a hostel. Our room was listed on Booking.com as a "double" with a balcony, but it was actually a twin with two single beds and a tiny window that let in very little air or light. The ceiling was peeling, too. The walls and doors have no insulation at all, so you can hear every breath from people walking down the hall. Booking.com gives false information because there are no double rooms, only twins, and takes no responsibility for the property's shortcomings or how it presents the rooms on its website.

I'm sorry to say my stay at your hostel was a huge letdown. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, and mine was unbearably hot. The nights were rough because I couldn't sleep properly. When I called the host about AC, he said I was unlucky it was so hot in Madrid at the moment. But whether it's hot outside or not, we paid for the services and couldn't get them.

The staff were very friendly, but this is a student residence, not a hotel. My room was small and had no AC, and the clean bathrooms were a long way from it. There was no staff at night, and people coming in during the early morning were very rude and made it impossible to rest. I wouldn't recommend it.

We were visiting from Barcelona for a few days in August because our son had been hospitalized in Madrid. The staff showed incredible kindness and empathy, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Everything was very clean. Thanks to the housekeeper Tania and her whole team, who are truly outstanding professionals.
