Hostal R. Lido

I wasn’t expecting much when I booked, since this was the only available option on Booking with a good rating and price. I’ve learned the hard way that Booking ratings can be relative. This time, though, the rating was well deserved. It’s a small, very clean hotel in a good location, and the staff were wonderfully friendly. Staying there was a real pleasure, and I’ve added it to my list to consider on future trips to Madrid.

We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The host was great, spoke several languages, and gave us lots of useful advice about sightseeing, restaurants, tapas bars, and getting around. The whole team was friendly and accommodating. There was also coffee, tea, and small snacks available in the morning. The hotel is very central, within walking distance of the main amenities. We only used public transport for the airport trips, though there's a direct airport bus too, with its nearest stop just a few minutes away. The traditional building and layout had a basic, clean room with everything we needed: a comfortable bed, a shower, soap, towels, and even a fridge. Thank you!

Pablo and his family were so helpful and supportive, and gave us great food recommendations. They made sure everything was in order and that everyone felt welcome. It’s a lovely family-run hotel, centrally located in Madrid, and very clean and well cared for. I’d definitely recommend it!

Don’t expect luxury here, but the value is great for the price and the location is excellent. It’s a small, cozy, very clean hotel run by a friendly family. Whenever I needed or asked for something, the owners were quick to help. I’d absolutely recommend it!
