The walking tour was a highlight, and it runs on donations, so it’s easy on the budget. Melissa was a patient guide who shared her knowledge and enthusiasm, and even helped a tour member look for his lost property. The hostel also puts on events almost every day, which makes it easy for residents to meet each other. I enjoyed the friendly vibe enough to join the membership, and I’d love to stay again. It’s spotless throughout, even under the bed and in the corners, with bright, spacious common areas. The kitchen and dining spaces are clean and thoughtfully organized each day. Breakfast is generous and free, and there are sometimes dinner events. The main drawback is the shared dorm’s one toilet and shower together, so you may have to wait. There can also be outside noise in the room after midnight, though earplugs help.

There are activities every day if you want to meet people or explore the city, and they also offer complimentary morning snacks. The hostel is in a great spot, with clean rooms and common areas, and kind, helpful staff. I’d gladly use this hostel chain again on a future trip.

I was impressed by how clean everything was, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a great budget place, and I couldn’t find anything to fault. As an older traveler, I also enjoyed being around younger guests and watching them connect and make plans. I hadn’t stayed in a hostel for about 30 years, and this has made me rediscover them.

At OneFam Madrid, the beds were comfortable, the rooms and shared spaces were clean, and the staff were really friendly. Melissa is an awesome tour guide, and the planned activities are fun. I’d stay again and recommend it to a friend.

The location was quiet and had lots of useful places nearby, and I’d happily stay here again. I was nervous about sharing a women’s room since I hadn’t done that since college, but I ended up loving it. The room was nice, with a blackout curtain around the bunk that gave it privacy and blocked the light. There was a private bathroom for the shared room as well as a hall bathroom, so sharing wasn’t a problem. The hostel was super clean and puts on events pretty much every day to help guests socialize.
