The rooftop terrace was a nice spot for reasonably priced drinks, and the room itself was spacious, with a huge shower and great water pressure. One of the best showers we've had in Europe. The beds were comfortable, and even though our room looked out over Gran Via, the electric awnings kept it dark and quiet enough to sleep. My main gripe is the lack of coffee in the room. You can get it in the breakfast room, but there are no takeaway cups, so carrying coffee upstairs for two is awkward. Hotel Atlántico, are you listening? The desk staff were correct, but not especially friendly.

The rooms felt spacious and modern, with a luxurious feel and lovely baroque decor. The hotel is right on the Grand Via, close to numerous transport links and within easy reach of the shopping, culture, and sights you'd want to see.

On level 9 there are two rooftop terraces overlooking the city, a good place to sit with a drink. The bar itself is basic, though, nothing fancy. We found the hotel beautiful from the outside, especially when it was lit up at night. Our room was quite adequate, and the shower had plenty of hot water, as long as you don't mind stepping into the bath to use it. I'd have preferred a proper king bed instead of two large singles pushed together. The hotel is right in the middle of a busy area, and we were happy with our stay overall.

The evening terrace was a peaceful place to unwind, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had lots of choice, with excellent service and a lovely view over the busy city. It felt calm up there while Madrid came to life below. We spent two nights at Hotel Atlántico Madrid, and the location was perfect for exploring. Our room was clean, spacious, and stunning, with unbelievable views both day and night.

Breakfast costs an extra 12 euros. It was okay, though we've had better. The rooftop has a great view. Our first room had a window facing a "courtyard" that was really just four other windows and not much space. We asked to switch and got a room facing a small street instead, which was perfect. It was a really nice, large, clean room. You could hear a little street noise, but it didn't bother us, and the windows blocked a lot of it.
