Being near the city centre made it easy to get around, and the hotel was clean. The stay was still frustrating because there were so many problems: the bed felt like a flimsy camp bed and gave me back pain, the Wi-Fi was poor, and noise came through from neighboring rooms. There was no wardrobe or fridge, the toilet lid was broken, the sheets and curtains were torn, and the ceiling fan didn’t work. Routine checks could catch issues like damaged linen and broken fixtures, which should be easy to fix. The location was a real plus, but the discomfort and unreliable facilities let it down.

The location was great for the price, but nights were noisy and the WiFi was poor. I was given a duvet and pillow without any bedsheets or pillowcases.

It’s a very central spot, about a five-minute walk from Gran via. The room was smaller than I expected, though it had the basics. A friendly front desk man tried to help despite the language barrier. Reception had discount vouchers for tours, food, transportation, and football, and I saved 10 euros on my tour with one. There was a “No smoking 🚭” sign, but someone smoked for a long time one night. The smell built up in my room so badly I couldn’t sleep. The receptionist did his best, but couldn’t find who was smoking.

The place was clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. Still, for 90 euros a night, I didn’t think it was worth it, even in such a central part of the city. The room design was terrible, and the photos were quite misleading. I know it’s an old building, but it looked like no money had gone into the rooms. You could hear everything in the neighboring rooms, even phone notifications, which was incredibly annoying. I stayed for two days. I’d suggest finding somewhere else, even if it’s farther out or costs a little more.
