The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the employee who helped me was very kind. He answered my WhatsApp promptly and even killed a big spider on the ceiling, probably one that came in through the open window. I'd stay again, but only in a different room. The broken heater ruined this stay. In room 9, the heating stayed on full blast even after I turned it off. It was 27.5 degrees when I arrived. My climate controller could control the heat in four rooms, and turning off the heating in the others was the only way to stop mine. People in the other rooms would turn theirs back on without realizing it was heating my room. We shouldn't be able to control other rooms' climate. I had to keep the window open and repeatedly turn off room 11. Every time they turned their heat back on, it was set to 26, which I could see on the controller, and my room started blasting heat again. When I switched theirs off, mine stopped. I messaged the WhatsApp and a nice employee came to look. He confirmed there was nothing he could do because he wasn't a repair man, and said there were no vacant rooms. It was almost midnight, I had to get up at 7am, and I couldn't change hotels. He said I could sleep with the window open. It was raining, and I'm a very light sleeper. I'd booked this specific hotel because it said the rooms were sound proof, but all night I heard rain and patio noise, like AC units turning on and off. I still woke up sweaty and dehydrated because other guests kept heating my room by mistake. Room 9 shouldn't be rented until this is fixed. Imagine if I were elderly or sensitive to temperature, that room is dangerous. They need an HVAC repair man.

The room had a window onto a courtyard shaft used for restaurant service or something similar, and it was noisy. Breakfast was in the hallway or lobby, which wasn't pleasant, and the small amount of food kept running out. I can't recommend breakfast. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the location was very good. But reception staff weren't helpful, service minded, or even polite. We'd ordered a child berth, but the receptionist hadn't arranged it, so three of us had to sleep in one bed. She basically refused responsibility and was utterly disrespectful. We also asked for a child's seat. She said she didn't have one and disrespectfully refused to find a suitable solution. I can't recommend this place unless service improves drastically.

The location is great, but the rooms are underground with a club right above the hostel. The music was so loud that we couldn't sleep all night. The room price was particularly high when we stayed, so the experience was unacceptable. If you do consider staying, make sure to ask for a room far from the club.

Everything was spotless and well maintained, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. CC Opera Suites was amazing value for the price compared with other Madrid options. The location is super central and perfect for exploring the city. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it!

For its central location and price, we didn't mind staying in a sub-basement hotel. It looked more like a wine cellar, in the nicest possible way, and was just right for a few nights. The room was very clean, and we had a great experience overall.
