Room Mate Oscar, Madrid

The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were just right for us: clean, modern and with a big bed. We arrived early in the morning, well before check-in, after an early flight, and they upgraded us so we could get into a room straight away. That was so kind. The location is amazing too. We really enjoyed our stay, would definitely return, and highly recommend it.

That suite was spectacular, especially the wraparound porch where we could watch the moonrise and sunset. The bathroom was great and the bed comfy. We loved staying at Roommate Oscar and will book with this brand again. The staff were lovely, helpful and accommodating. Our room was spacious by European standards and super clean, with lots of thoughtful extras: a steamer, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner, lotion, and cute welcome snacks. And the location is perfect, right in the middle of everything, with so much within walking distance. It felt like far more than a 3-star stay.

The location is privileged, and it works especially well for an LGBTQ+ trip to Madrid. It's a shame the team behind the hotel are so unfriendly: they snub people who promote the place instead of trying to bring them on board. The marketing team never responds and seems to deliberately ignore people they could work with. That has really changed how I feel about a hotel I used to like.

We were two middle-aged women with high expectations, and the hotel delivered. The front desk staff were professional, friendly and incredibly helpful. When we wanted to add a night, they arranged it and even moved our things to the new room while we were out. The rooms had everything we needed, including a steamer, and the penthouse was especially well appointed. If you can book it, do: the wraparound porch and shower door opening onto the outside terrace are very cool, and I thought it was worth it. The location is the best in the city. Try TKO for a quick first bite. I wish I'd taken pictures!
