The receptionists were polite and helpful, and the free snacks were a nice surprise for such an affordable hotel. My room was small, but very clean. At night, though, the building felt dark and a bit scary. After midnight, someone tried to open our door several times, which was the creepiest part. Everything else was good, so I'd consider staying here if you aren't worried about safety and are brave enough.

We stayed two nights in a large double room and found the staff really nice and communicative. The location was great, and we walked everywhere. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There can be noise from other rooms, so bring earplugs. I'd stay here again if I come back to Madrid.

The bed was comfortable, and the location was great. The building felt secure, and the service was good. They also had some free breakfast items, coffee, and cold water. I stayed in the green room just off the lobby, though, and could hear everything whenever anyone was there. The bathroom was ridiculously small, and the shower only gave me about five seconds of hot water at a time. I had to wet my hair, turn off the water to lather, then turn it back on to rinse, and still ran out of hot water every day. The stairwell lights weren't automatic, and they switched off after a few seconds, so I had to feel around for the switch and hurry toward the main floor, where the lights came on automatically. I'd stay again, but I'd ask for a room farther from the lobby to avoid the noise.

The apartment in this hostal was clean and quiet, even though it's right in central Madrid. They took care with all the details and gave very good service. I had a wonderful vacation and will definitely come back.
