Barrio de Salamanca Suites

The location worked for us because it was across from RESA, where our daughter was staying. The room itself was loud, with noise from upstairs, the street, and bathroom door handles, and there was no soundproofing. There was barely room to move around because of all the furniture, especially the fixed luggage rack between the bed and bathroom. The Wi-Fi was horrible, and the outlets were awkward to reach, one under the bed and another across the room. They also didn’t replace our coffee cups and told us we had to wash them ourselves, apparently in the bathroom sink with hand soap.

The service was great, and breakfast was excellent, with everything fresh. The waiter brought fresh orange juice and coffee to our table. The rooms were just okay, nothing special, and although they have some amenities, there’s shampoo but no conditioner. The hotel is pretty solid overall. It’s a bit old and you can tell, but it’s clean and well kept.

We especially enjoyed breakfast, and the gentleman running it was so friendly and made sure everything was right. He deserves a raise! The staff throughout were friendly and professional, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location kept us close to plenty of things while away from the city center noise. After exploring Madrid in August, the cold lemon water in the lobby was much appreciated. We loved our stay, highly recommend the hotel, and can’t wait to return.

Our superior room n°101 was a large apartment, with a king-size bed, sofa, well-equipped kitchen, and a balcony with a nice view. We were there with a baby and were a little concerned because it was right by the elevator, but there was hardly any noise. A long hallway and a bathroom with a bath and bidet separated it from the bedroom. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated how dark the bedroom stayed at night. We could adjust the temperature too. We’d definitely stay again.
