We had to evacuate from the 10th floor after the fire alarm went off at 1am. The night receptionist just shrugged arrogantly, with no apology or reassurance, and showed no professionalism at all. If I could give this hotel negative stars, I would.

The breakfast was really good, the staff were friendly, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were well proportioned too. I’ll choose this fantastic hotel whenever I’m in Madrid.

I was very disappointed when we got twin beds after booking a Double Bed Room. Reception said the bed type wasn’t guaranteed, even though that’s what the booking said. After the first night, staff helped me move to a better room.

The room key took three trips to the front desk before it worked for both the room and the gym, and toiletries weren’t replenished. At breakfast, the staff wouldn’t let me take even one pastry back to the room for my son, who couldn’t come down because of a leg injury. The restaurant setup was awkward too. For salt and pepper, for example, we had to walk all the way across the restaurant to reach a shaker. It wasn’t comfortable.

Hotel Vincci Vía 66 was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were helpful and really friendly, and the central location made it easy to explore Madrid. We had a great stay and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
