Alua Calvia Dreams

The pool areas were lovely places to unwind, and the location made it easy to enjoy a walk while keeping a little distance from the club and restaurant noise. We stayed in a premium room in the Sky Building, which we loved. The hotel felt clean, modern and luxurious. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel, with really fresh, tasty food, and the Street Food Restaurant was incredible. The staff were always smiling, friendly and helpful. We had a great, relaxing stay and would absolutely recommend Dreams Calvia Mallorca.

The beach was less than five minutes away, just down the steps, and bars and restaurants were only a few minutes from there. I was travelling solo and had a lovely stay in a modern double room with a huge bed and sea view. I went all-inclusive. The food was good quality, though a little repetitive, and there were plenty of bars and cafes for food. The hotel’s own burger bar was very nice too. Everyone on staff was really friendly. It’s the nicest place I’ve stayed, and I’ll definitely go back.

The food really impressed me. There was a great selection, mostly Mediterranean and European, with plenty changing from day to day. We had a relaxing few days in September, with lots of sun loungers and places to sit. The grounds and atmosphere were lovely, and the staff were friendly. The animation team deserves a special mention, they were brilliant. It was also quick and easy to get here from the airport. Two things brought this down to four stars for me. Our double room had two separate single beds pushed together and made up as singles. More seriously, during our first night, a staff member came into our room in the early hours while we were asleep, without knocking. It was a real shock. They left quickly when I shouted. I reported it to reception, and they were understanding and apologetic, but we never got an explanation. I’ve never had anything like that happen before, and it felt so unusual compared with the rest of our stay. It’s a fantastic hotel, but that shouldn’t happen.

The hotel is conveniently close to the bus station, so getting to the capital takes about 40-50 minutes. It’s also just five minutes from the beach, and you can see the mountains from your room. Housekeeping came daily and did a good job. Pool staff can provide a beach towel with a €10 deposit. There were plenty of good options at breakfast and dinner, and everything I tried was delicious. Each evening featured a different country’s specialty food, which made dinner interesting. The activities and evening shows were really cool too. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, and I’d highly recommend it.
