Hotel Boutique Anahita

We had a booking confirmed in writing back in January. Right after we landed in Málaga, a staff member sent us a WhatsApp message cancelling it. That was the first and only written notice of any problem in almost four months. The hotel said they’d called several times, but our phone records showed one attempted call. We don’t think a single call justified cancelling a booking that had been confirmed for four months. At arrival, they offered to divide our stay between two hotels for an extra cost. We turned that down and had to find somewhere else, which cost us more. Before writing this, we checked the reviews and saw reports of similar experiences from six months and a year earlier. It seems like a recurring issue, not a one-off. We plan to file a formal complaint with OMIC Málaga and strongly caution anyone considering booking directly.

Anahita Boutique Hotel is in a very central spot, which made getting around and exploring easy. But the service felt below what I’d expect from a four-star hotel. The staff came across as cold, and although the rooms were clean, they seemed dated and ready for renovation. I’d give the stay 3 out of 5. The location is a strong point, but expect service below average and rooms that need updating.

Right in central Malaga, this hotel is good value and the staff are really friendly and attentive. The rooms were very clean, air conditioned, and had all the amenities. I’d definitely recommend it.

Our favorite thing was the luxurious freestanding bathtub in the bedroom, a lovely way to unwind after sightseeing Malaga. Anahita is right in the heart of the historic old town, with the main sights and tapas bars just steps away. The whole hotel is clean and thoughtfully decorated, and the rooms and shared areas have a great atmosphere. The team were exceptional, accommodating, and flexible with our requests. We had a perfect stay and can’t wait to book another trip. I highly recommend Anahita.
