Be Mate Málaga Centro

The apartment was spacious and very clean, with a comfortable bed and shutters that let us sleep undisturbed. It’s right in the historic center, close to major sights, and an easy walk to the port shops. The area was quiet, too. I’d happily stay again.

The apartment itself was excellent, a good size and equipped with what we needed. The bed and shower were especially good, and there’s a lift if you need one. We barely used the kitchen, but it had the amenities for that. Getting in isn’t wheelchair friendly because there’s a six-inch marble step. There’s no view, though that wasn’t why we came. Parking is nearby in a garage, but guests have to pay 22 euros for 24 hours, and street parking near the hotel isn’t allowed. The soundproofing was a real letdown. We could hear conversations in the alley through the closed windows, and construction was extremely loud for hours, starting before 7am one day and before 10am another. Nobody told us this was going on. Guests should be warned about noise that affects their stay, even when the work is outside the hotel or apartment. The location is great for shopping, dining, and exploring, and I’d recommend the place, but check on construction first.

We’d gladly return. The apartment was charming and its location made it easy to get around and explore the area.

The apartments were superb, from the layout and kitchen to the decor and bathroom, and especially the excellent beds. Everything was very clean, so housekeeping clearly did a great job. Though it’s in the center, walking into Be Mate Malaga Centro felt calm and welcoming, with a lovely light reception and the best smell. Thanks for making our stay so good. We’ll be back!
