Just a warning for anyone coming to Malaga: " la recepción apartmets malaga" rents out rooms and, in my experience, doesn't return the deposits. I even got in touch with tenants from 2020-2021, and they had the same problem. Ten people from the 2021-2022 Erasmus year didn't get their full deposit back, or got very little. They take photos of things that weren't in the apartment and present them as damage, then inflate the electricity and internet charges. It feels like a scam. Please share this so people can be warned.

The apartment was filthy and moldy when I arrived, and I had to complain several times before anyone came to clean it. Check-in was also a mess: I waited outside for 40 minutes even though we'd agreed on the time. After I moved out, they kept my deposit and charged €200 for "professional cleaning," despite us spending two full days cleaning before we left. They ignored my emails when I tried to challenge the charge. I also noticed they'd changed the curtains after we left, apparently to make the place look nicer for summer tourists booking through Airbnb, which seems more profitable. Friends who rented other apartments through La Recepción told me they were treated the same way. I wouldn't rent through this agency. They're unreliable and dishonest.
