If you're saving up for a trip to spend time with a friend who lives in another country, remember to choose the refundable option, even if it costs more. I was 25, unemployed, and trying to save for the trip when a strike happened two weeks before departure and I ended up in hospital. @booking and the hotel charged me for the full stay and couldn't find a solution. Thanks for being so insensitive.

The apartments feel cheaply furnished, with IKEA pieces throughout, and quite a few need fixing or replacing. For what you get, the price is high. Its one real advantage is being right by Plaza de la Merced.
