Halcyon Days Apartamento

There was a COCKROACH in the apartment, so we left at 2am during Easter, the busiest time of year. The worst part was being told we were lying and that they wouldn’t refund us. We returned to show them the towel we’d used to kill the cockroach, but it had mysteriously disappeared. This was the weirdest experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. They’re obviously manipulating the reviews. Do not trust them or stay here, because they do in fact have cockroaches.

The apartment was high standard, with quality furniture, appliances, and fittings, and the bed was extremely comfortable. It’s in a great location, just a two-minute walk from the airport bus stop, and within easy walking distance of tourist attractions and the covered market, which is excellent for food if you want to cook. Unfortunately, the foul smell of sewerage in the bathroom made it very unpleasant to enter. The major road through the city is close by, so noise and pollution were noticeable when the windows were open.

We could walk to everything from this beautiful apartment, and popping back during the day was easy. The views were lovely too. Booking and getting the key were both simple, all arranged through WhatsApp. I’d happily recommend it.

The bedroom at the back was so quiet, and I had a wonderful time.
