Hostal La Hispanidad

Very simple and affordable, and really clean. There was a slight smoky smell since smoking is allowed in the rooms, but it wasn't too bad. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I checked in late at night. I'd definitely recommend it for a solo traveller looking for a cheap night or two.

My room was basic but clean and nice, and the staff were friendly. In the morning they even heated water for my coffee. It's right across from malaga train station and pet friendly, too.

We arrived at 2.00 am and the staff were still very friendly. The hostel is right across from the railroad station, and both the rooms and corridors were clean and nice. For a hostel, it was well above what I expected. The beds weren't great, and the pillows were absolutely horrible.

My Airbnb got cancelled at the last minute, at 0200 o'clock at night, but this amazing hostal had a room for me and were so helpful and kind. The man on the night shift made a stressful night pleasant, and offered me a later checkout because I'd arrived so last minute. After checkout, they looked after my bag and let me come back to use the bathroom and charge my phone. When I went to thank them, they simply said, “we are here to help you”. If I'm ever in malaga again, I'd definitely choose them again. Oumaima
