We had booked two months ahead, but on our first night we were sent to a studio apartment about 700 metres away without proper agreement. It was late and raining, and the staff member checking us in couldn't speak English or clearly explain where the studio was. We spent about half an hour searching for the right floor. The next day, the studio lost power, leaving us without lights, and there were ants all over the bathroom, which felt unpleasant and unhygienic. Our last two nights back at the hostel were acceptable, but the welcome was poor and the experience fell well short of what we expected. I wouldn't recommend it.

The view of Calle.Larios and the Christmas lights was amazing. The room itself was basic, but spotless and perfectly adequate. With the windows shut, there was little or no noise. Staff were professional, helpful and kind. Highly recommended for exploring beautiful Málaga.

I've returned a few times, mainly for the central location, reasonable price and impressive building. The welcome has always been warm. My rooms have had clean sheets and a strong WIFI connection every time. I've stayed in plenty of hotels and hostals around Spain, and clean sheets often seem to be the exception. I'd recommend this hotel to solo or business travelers.

We chose this place to be near the Christmas lights on 10 December. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at the requested time, which we understood because it was a busy period, so we went to explore the beautiful city. When we came back, we were told we'd be staying in a studio ten minutes away on foot, near the food market, and that it was more expensive. It turned out to be a room with an en-suite and four single beds, even though we'd booked a double. Management apologized when we got in touch, but offered no compensation for the change.

The shared bathroom gave me a little pause since I'd never stayed somewhere with one before, but it turned out perfectly fine: clean, comfortable and good value. The location is hard to beat, just off Calle Larios. I'll definitely stay again!
