Soho Boutique Los Naranjos

We picked the hotel for its closeness to the beach, which was really nice, and the staff were pleasant. But the room was very old. The first time we used the shower, brown water came out, though it was fine after that. The balcony door was awkward to close, we found a few dead bugs in the sheets, and some electrical sockets were loose and posed a real danger. At €120 a night, I don't think it was worth it. Maybe that's just the average price in Malaga, but it felt far too expensive for what they offer.

The location is good, near the city center, and the room, bed and bathroom were average, like at other hotels. We were traveling with a baby and chose this place because it had parking. I called to confirm I could park, and they said yes. When we arrived, though, the garage sliding door was broken, and the parking stayed closed throughout our visit. We had to find a space in public street parking, which was awful. A man at reception did let us leave the car in the hotel's loading and unloading zone until 7 in the morning on both nights. Even so, they had misled us about parking and sent no email notice. I later realized the garage wouldn't have helped anyway, since it could only fit a tiny car, not a normal-sized one. They also charged €12 per day for our pet and a fixed €25 for some kind of “final cleaning.” I've never heard of that kind of cleaning charge at other hotels. If you're traveling with a pet, I wouldn't recommend staying here, as it adds up too much. Other hotels just charge a daily pet fee and that's it.

A cozy hotel with a nice atmosphere, and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful throughout my pleasant stay at Soho Boutique Los Naranjos. It's close to the beach and within walking distance of the city center, making it a great spot for a few days in Málaga. I'd happily return.

We finished our Southern Spain trip with two nights here, and would happily book it again. The staff even arranged a cab for our 4:00 am airport departure ahead of a 6:00 am flight. The beach is close, with a couple of restaurants nearby, though the cathedral and central old city take a bit of walking. We walked in once and took an Uber on the rainy day, which was about 8 euros. Our room was clean, with two very comfortable twin beds, a coffee maker, a safe, and a little balcony with a table and a couple chairs. The lobby was very nice, and breakfast was available for 12 euros, though we didn't try it. The walls seemed a little thin and we could hear neighboring rooms, but there weren't many people around during our stay. I imagine it might get noisier in summer.
