La Casa de la Alameda

The apartment was noisy enough that we couldn't open the bedroom or lounge windows. Traffic roared constantly, and fumes made it unpleasant outside. The air was full of exhaust, and just below the bedroom window there's a row of motorcycle parking. Every 5-10 minutes someone seemed to park or drive off, and it was deafening. The property's central location doesn't make the outside space usable with all that road noise and pollution. We booked and paid for an apartment with outdoor space, then quickly found there wasn't any. The advertising photos were confusing, and the owner wasn't communicative or helpful. I'd suggest confirming all your requirements with the owner before booking. Avoid this place, there are many better options.

The apartment Tete was clean and nice, but the noise and the host's rudeness ruined the stay. Traffic was unbearable even with the windows shut, and with air conditioning units right above our heads, we got no sleep for two nights. Car pollution came in through the windows, and motorcycles were parked on the small streets nearby. On top of that, construction work on our apartment's walls ran from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The owner didn't seem to care that we'd paid for a relaxing holiday. When we complained about the noise at all hours, the host told us to leave at 7 p.m., even though our plane wasn't until 4 a.m. the next morning. He hadn't told us what time check-in was, despite my asking repeatedly. I also asked for two pillows they'd forgotten for the sofa and was told “tomorrow.” Telling paying guests to leave for complaining felt neither legal nor moral. The Wi-Fi barely worked. Booking.com should remove them from its platform.

The room was spacious, modern, and very clean, with comfortable beds and chic, elegant decor. Fast Wi-Fi, a large TV, and a well-stocked minibar made it even nicer. The location was right in the city centre, close to the historic quarter and popular sights like the Catedrala and Picasso Museum. I had a wonderful stay at La Casa de la Alameda and would gladly return on another trip, for work or leisure.

There was a locker where we could leave our luggage before or after our stay, which was handy. The accommodation is spacious and clean, with a partly equipped kitchen, on the first floor. Its windows face a side street, so it isn't too noisy. The price was reasonable, and the location is great, about five minutes from the airport train station. Recommended!
