Live it Malaga

The coworking space had a nice design, but everything else about our month here was deeply disappointing. We paid EUR 2,160 in total, made up of 720 rent, a 720 non-refundable membership that felt worthless to me, and a 720 deposit that was never returned. We ended up leaving a room in a flat that was constantly disturbed. They advertised a flat share, but it was really a room in a flat being used as an Airbnb. Guests coming and going and cleaning teams turning rooms over regularly disrupted us. The upstairs shared area could have been nice, but it wasn't kept clean or well maintained. The building is far from the center, in a rough-feeling neighborhood that didn't feel very safe, and the doorway always smelled of dog urine. There was also a major construction project right behind the building. I understand that wasn't under their control, but it made working almost impossible even with noise-canceling headphones. The membership rate shown when we reserved doubled by the time we completed the booking. As for the deposit, they sent it to the wrong account by mistake. After months of messages and proof from us, they still refused to fix a problem they had caused, without even an apology. It cost us time and effort, and went unresolved.

The room was clean and pleasant, but the shared bathroom seemed to get cleaned only when a new guest arrived. If nobody new checked in, it stayed dirty, and guests were expected to take their own trash out. Staff were rarely around and not much help when they were. After I dropped and soiled my towel, I asked for a replacement and was refused. That felt uncomfortable, as if strict rules mattered more than doing one small thing to make a guest feel at ease. They provide just one roll of toilet paper, and staff aren't always there when you need another. Luckily, someone in a nearby room bought their own rolls and left them for everyone when they left. You have to remember to ask for a new roll before yours runs out.

The rooftop was a great place to meet people from around the world, read, lift weights, or play ping pong. The coworking area was a lifesaver for me as a remote worker with daily meetings, and the internet was fast. The rooms were clean, with regular cleaning service. I was new to Málaga and found this place pretty randomly while looking for an international community and somewhere to work and settle my mind. From day one, the staff were so friendly and kind. Alejandro and Paloma always had a smile on their faces. Highly recommended!

We booked a superior room with a private bathroom through another website, but were given a room with a shared bathroom and kitchen when we checked in. We showed the booking and complained immediately. The staff said everything was full and that it wasn't their responsibility because we used a different platform. They didn't try to resolve it. That evening, the bathroom had been left in a terrible state by the other guests. The toilet was dirty and the toilet paper was soaked and unusable. We had been given only one roll, and there was nobody available to replace it, so I had to use my own napkins for the night. It was an extremely uncomfortable stay. I won't come back and strongly don't recommend this place.
