Hotel Palacete de Álamos, Historic Center

The hotel was in a great spot, within easy walking distance of the main attractions, and it was very quiet. Our room was absolutely great, although the shower was difficult to turn on and off. There was a room where you could have a drink in the evening, doubling as the breakfast room, but it had no atmosphere. Breakfast was continental and self-serve, and pretty hit and miss. Some mornings we were offered water, most mornings we weren’t. They asked if we wanted coffee and orange juice, but we had to ask for more. One morning the next coffee took ten minutes, and another time they simply forgot it. They’d also run out of bread rolls just half an hour after breakfast service started. The breakfast was OK, but that’s not what I’d call four-star service.

The front desk staff were so welcoming, and the room was thoughtfully arranged with everything needed. It wasn’t huge, but the bed was very comfy and the shower was clean, hot and powerful. We were pleased with every part of our short stay, and so much so that we’re coming back at the beginning of March. Thanks for making us comfortable. See you soon!

The room was beautiful and thoroughly cleaned. My only real criticism is the view. I’m also really not used to having a sink right next to the bed. Two nights of that was enough for me 🫠😅🌸🤍

I contacted them on WhatsApp hoping to book a spa day. They were sold out, unfortunately, but replied quickly, called their therapist to check availability and even checked the next day in case of cancellations. I didn’t get to go, but they were so friendly and helpful that I’ll definitely return if I’m in Málaga. Book ahead to avoid disappointment!
