Petit Palace Plaza Malaga

The room was comfortable, and the daily cleaning was excellent. Breakfast was excellent too, with lots of choice and everything very fresh. This lovely little hotel opens directly onto Calle Larios, right in the heart of Malaga city. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I’d definitely recommend it for a visit to Malaga. C&M

Parking is the only downside. If you’re fine with walking 5-10 minutes, you should be alright. The hotel is right in the city centre, close to all the attractions, and we had a fantastic stay at Petit Plaza. The staff were amazing and just a message away whenever we needed help. Special thanks to Daniela and the other lady, whose name I’m sorry I never asked.

The location is outstanding, with everything nearby, and the rooms work well for families, with big bathrooms too. Reception staff were extremely nice and accommodating at any time of day. This will be where I stay in Malaga whenever I come back.

Breakfast was the standout for me, one of the best we had on this trip. There was lots to choose from, and the quality exceeded my expectations compared with the rest of the stay. The location is central, but getting around with luggage is awkward. Because of access restrictions at Plaza de la Constitución, taxis are generally only allowed in after 10 pm. During most of the day, drop-off and pick-up are at least a five to seven minute walk away, which is a pain with bags, especially in bad weather. I was surprised this property is rated four stars. I stayed in Room 114, where the chair was unstable and seemed close to breaking. The bathroom glass door wouldn’t shut properly because the gap between the door and floor was too tight. The main door lock looked damaged and didn’t feel secure. We reported everything and were told it would be fixed the next morning, but nothing had been sorted by checkout. It can also be noisy at night with the windows open, as street activity carries on late. The great breakfast and central spot are hard to square with the maintenance problems and poor logistical support.
