RACHEL T.
The worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in, and for the price I really can’t recommend it. The staff were okay, though not very informed or helpful. At least they weren’t unfriendly. It’s on the outskirts, in an area that isn’t very nice, and the bus takes twenty minutes to reach the center. The nearby beach is the dirtiest in the city. The room was tiny, with a very small window and broken blinds that wouldn’t raise all the way. The beds were uncomfortable, with springs poking through. The floor was covered in hair and what looked like sand. There was mold around the sink, and the drawers had unidentified dirt and crumbs. There wasn’t a cupboard for clothes. Wi-Fi didn’t work. The so-called kitchen was just a fridge, with no sink or stove. The fridge was moldy, full of disgusting food that seemed ancient, and smelled so bad I didn’t want to open it. The bathroom was the worst part. Hair covered the floor and clogged the shower drain. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since it was built. There was no toilet paper, the floor was always wet, and the sink and wall were moldy. The toilet was incredibly dirty, and I don’t know how many people shared it with us. The lock was broken, so the bathroom couldn’t be locked, and once locked it was almost impossible to open. We’d have been better off sleeping on the beach.
