El Tío Mateo

The rooms were spacious and clean, with a sea view from our balcony, and the furnishings and amenities felt right for the price. Free parking was a big plus for us. Breakfast was quite classic; we tried it twice and found it convenient. The beach is only 2 minutes away. We tried a few restaurants there, and the one nearest the hotel was the best. At La Dolce Vita Beach, lunch gets you a free umbrella and sunbed, and the food is excellent. It's a little way from the city center, but the waterfront walk is lovely and didn't feel tiring. We had a wonderful stay for the price and no complaints.

We needed a place in Marbella while our campervan was being repaired at the garage, and found this little gem. It's a welcoming, family-run hostel, and the staff speak very good English. The room felt homely, was very clean, and had a lovely little terrace. Breakfasts were lovely too. Great value, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

We found it easy to reach by car, with good parking and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was good and the service excellent. There's a good beach and a few restaurants nearby, and it's a 2.5 km walk to Marbs ferry marina and the old town. It all worked well for us.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and make you feel at home. They can also point you toward good food and help you avoid local tourist traps, so do ask. This is a wonderful little no-frills hotel, with clean, well-equipped rooms close to the beach in the chill, relaxed, non-posh part of Marbella. Parking and breakfast are available.
