El Rincon de Lucía

We’ve made a weekend here with friends three years in a row now, and already plan to return next year. There’s a big garden, a well-equipped kitchen, two full bathrooms plus a toilet, and spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. The house is clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend it.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and it’s been spectacular both times. Everything was spot on. If I had to find one tiny thing, another cooking knife or two would’ve been handy, but honestly, you should come to this casona.

The house has potential, but it needs a lot more maintenance and attention to detail. We were seven people staying about two weeks ago, and left very disappointed. The house is noisy, right by the road, and dogs at the neighboring kennel barked constantly, making sleep difficult. We won’t return. The owner’s attitude also bothered us. We arrived a little late because of road problems, and there was confusion about heating charges. If you go over the limit, heating is billed separately, so we felt we had to keep it off much of the time even though the house was freezing. We asked to see the meter and understand the billing, and she got annoyed. It’s just a matter of explaining it. She also asks for a deposit while making demands without knowing the details. A lot of the advertised features and basics fell short. There’s a fireplace, but no firewood, which is odd when guests have to bring it in their suitcase. The outdoor barbecue was unusable because of its condition and hygiene, as the photo I sent showed. There was no oil, salt, napkins or cleaning cloths, just one garbage bag. The dishwasher had no salt and was rusty, and cutlery and cups were dirty. The range hood light was broken and the sink leaked. We chose the place for the pool table, but they left only one cue so we wouldn’t steal it. The beds weren’t made either, just sheets left for us to put on. Many outlets were loose, bulbs were burned out all over, and the house generally lacked light, especially in the bathrooms. Some door latches and shutters were broken.

Rosa was flexible about our arrival and departure times, which we really appreciated. The house was spectacular and had everything we needed, and the garden was wonderful in good weather. Perfect stay, highly recommended for families or groups of friends.
