Hotel Villa Itsaso

The staff were so attentive and caring, and even brought breakfast to our room. Ours had a little kitchen with everything needed, including a dishwasher, stove and fridge. The house is full of history and incredibly beautiful. Its location made exploring the Basque Country very convenient. You can walk out of town to the lighthouse and continue to hiking trails with absolutely impressive views, and there's a charming path down to the shore. So glad we found this wonderful place. I'm in love with it for good ❤️

Out of all the places we stayed on our cycling trip through Basque Country, this was easily our favourite. The hosts were kind and the staff so friendly and helpful. They made us feel comfortable, even bringing our pre-ordered breakfast to the room the next morning. We stayed in one of the new portables outside the main house. It was clean and had AC, a large bathroom and a towel warmer, though the shower head was awkwardly placed. The villa sits at the top of a hill, a tough climb on a cycling trip, but the view, comfortable bed and lovely hosts made it worth it. We plan to come back.

We only stayed one night, which felt too short. This well-kept restored country house sits on a grassy hillside with lovely views, about a 10 minute walk from the beach and 15 minutes from town. Everything was clean and tidy. Once we realized the hot and cold taps were reversed, everything worked well. A charming stop on a beautiful stretch of the northern coast.

We stayed just one night to be nearer the ferry and found a real hidden gem. The hotel has spectacular views over the harbour, and town is about a 10 minute walk away, with a mix of cafés and restaurants. Be sure to try the Churros from the kiosk on the seafront. What a wonderful place!
