Hotel Jeni & Restaurante

Joan, the owner, is an absolute gem. He leads a team of people who follow his example. I can't praise this hotel highly enough. It really is the heart and soul of Es Mercadal.

Dishonest scam, those are the two words I'd use for this establishment. They charged us for two rooms when we only used one, and still refuse to refund the amount they wrongfully collected. As I understand it, they can charge other people for the same room that had already been paid for, then canceled without a refund. What a shame. It makes you wonder if the reviews are fake or manipulated.

Even in low season, the hotel was fairly busy, but it wasn't noisy. The service was great, with very professional and proactive staff. Its location is perfect, right in the middle of the island.

We've stayed here twice now and will come again. It's called a Hostel, but feels more like a Hotel. The rooms are very clean and nice, and the staff are all kind and friendly. Perfectly located in the middle of the island, near every important place.
