Hotel Apartamentos MPD

The reception staff made the stay for us. They were efficient, friendly, and always helpful. Our room was spacious and stayed cool, and the hotel is right in central Mérida, near the Roman Theater and Ampitheatre. ¡Gracias! ¡Hasta la próxima!

The apartment was exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s private parking on site, a good spar grocery next door, and plenty of restaurants close by. The location is hard to beat, near the Roman theatre and museum. Our studio was very nice, with a basic kitchen, an excellent shower, and a view over the Roman baths. Cafes opened quite late, so it may be worth getting breakfast from the spar. It’s also worth getting up early to visit the Roman theatre before the crowds arrive, since they can get huge.

We managed to see a lot during our one night here because everything was close enough to walk to, and it made for an easy stop on the way to the beach. The rooms were huge, with kitchenettes, and the front desk workers were all very helpful. The parking garage was amazing and big. One of our three rooms had a strong smoky smell. On Sunday morning, breakfast was hard to find, and a few doors down we ended up with toast because they were out of OJ and a few other things. Our bathroom shower drained very slowly, leaving a lot of water on the floor. No pictures, sorry, it was just a one night stay.

We stayed for a week and had a large, clean apartment with twin beds, air conditioning, and everything we needed. The staff were attentive and very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. There’s parking on site, and the square is a short walk away. Couldn’t fault it, definitely recommend.
