Hostal A Camelia

A decent budget hotel in a pretty seaside village. The rooms are nice and large, and the staff are friendly.

The staff were very friendly.

We arrived to find a freezing room that smelled of stale tobacco, as if the odor had worked its way into the curtains or other fabric. The sound insulation was awful too. We could hear everything from the neighbouring rooms, with walls that seemed paper thin. Then, around 3 in the morning, people nearby were slamming doors and making noise in the corridors. I messaged the owner, who saw it but didn't do anything about it. A really bad experience, nothing like the reviews I'd read before booking.

We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and in good condition, with a terrace furnished with two chairs and a table. The bathroom was fine too, with a bathtub, shower gel, shampoo, and soap. On arrival, the receptionist explained what we needed to know and gave us keys so we could come and go as we liked. We were on the first floor, so we could overlook the lack of an elevator.
