Granada was a highlight for us, especially the amazing tapas tour. You’ll need a car to get around and see the best of the area, and going beyond the village gives you more dining choices. There’s plenty nearby for anyone into culture, history or outdoor adventures. Moclin itself is charming, picturesque and wonderfully peaceful. We first heard about the village through Alan and Amanda’s renovation programme on BBC, and after a fabulous week at Casa Higueras with Andrew and Ian, I can’t recommend a visit enough. Ian and Andrew made us feel completely welcome, and Alfredo the terrier deserves a mention too. The property is lovely, and you can tell they’ve put many hours into renovating it. The rear terrace has stunning Sierra Nevada views. We ate at the B&B a couple of nights, and those were honestly the best meals we had all week. The show’s success probably means you’ll be looking at next year for a booking, but do book. We won’t forget this stay and will be back!

We left Casa Higueras feeling rested and cared for, and enjoyed every minute. It’s a beautifully maintained home, clean throughout, with comfortable bedding. Ian and Andrew were warm, welcoming and accommodating, and knew so much about Moclin’s history and the surrounding area. They were helpful with everything, too. Alfredo the dog is part of what makes the stay feel like home. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of variety. Definitely book dinner as well: the food was divine, beautifully cooked, and full of wonderful flavours. The service was relaxed and warm, and Ian and Andrew created a lovely atmosphere. We’ll be back soon 😊

We felt so welcome here, and I couldn’t recommend the place more highly. Ian and Andrew are lovely hosts, and Alfie the dog is amazing. The breakfasts, dinners and rooms were all lovely, with a big comfortable bed and nice bathrooms. It’s a great spot for walking or just relaxing. 10 out of 10.

After the steep climb, I slept like a baby. From the moment I arrived, the calm, friendly, beautiful home and its amazing hosts made me feel welcome and completely relaxed. The cutest dog greeted me too. I’d absolutely recommend it to pilgrims and anyone nearby looking for a great stay.
