Apartamentos Las Buganvillas

We had a good holiday overall, and we'd definitely stay again, hopefully in a different room. It's a great place, and had we been in one of the sunny balcony rooms away from the gate and stairs, I'd have rated it even higher. The complex is adults only, and both the rooms and grounds are kept very clean. There's air conditioning in the living room, a swimming pool, a small bar on site, and plenty of sun loungers, though most get reserved with towels early in the morning. Guests can also use the Eden complex next door, which has a bigger pool. Wi-Fi was okay, and there's a TV and hairdryer. The fridge was useful, and the location worked well for us, up by Europa center with a taxi rank right opposite. Our room was right beside the side gate, which people kept letting slam at all hours. A sign asking people to close it quietly at night might help. The stairs to the upper level are attached to the outside wall of the room, and some of us are in bed before 3am! We also didn't get any sun in the room until late afternoon. There wasn't a late-stay room available for us, but Eden has luggage storage and showers to use before you leave. Checkout was at 12pm.

We spent a week here in mid-June. Puerto Rico is a 20 to 25 minute walk downhill, and a taxi back up is only 7 euros. The apartments are quiet, modern and clean, and the pool area is lovely with no trouble finding a sun lounger. There's a supermarket in the complex and another right across the road. The staff are super friendly. We'll definitely come back sometime.

A small, welcoming place with lovely staff who are happy to help. The receptionist, the couple running the bar, and the hardworking cleaning team were especially nice. There's a great choice of local amenities and food. I'd definitely recommend it and hope I can come back one day.

It's a beautiful place, and the staff are friendly and always willing to help. What bothered me was seeing people leave so much rubbish around the pool after sunbathing, even though there are bins nearby. There are young children around who could trip over the mess. Keeping the area clean is everyone's responsibility, not just the staff's!
