The roof terrace has a lovely view out to sea, and Superdino is close by with plenty to choose from. There are two beaches nearby: one is good for surfing, though the cement quarry spoils the cliff view, and the other is a bit farther away but really nice. Just watch the boiler switch beside the light switch, it’s easy to turn it off by mistake.

We had such a positive stay, and the host gave us loads of tips on things to do and places to eat. The apartment was spacious, bright, clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen, a nice balcony and WiFi that worked without any trouble. Its spot in the old residential part of arguineguin was handy for the beaches, local tapas bars and the main road. We’d happily recommend it. Thanks for the great stay and all that positive energy!

The area wasn’t nice, and at 125€ a night it felt far too expensive when a good hotel in a nicer part of Gran Canaria costs around 90-100€ a night. The smell inside was unbearable: cinnamon in the lobby all day, then a strong perfume throughout the apartment that made me feel sick after a while. They hadn’t turned on the boiler, so we had to take a cold shower.

Spotless, tidy and absolutely perfect.

The apartment itself was nice, clean and welcoming, with good sound insulation despite being on a busy square. Our room faced the elevator, though, and we could never open the window. That wasn’t mentioned anywhere. The host met us at the airport and handed over the keys, but finding the place late at night was difficult. Google Maps got us to the right street, yet the street number didn’t exist. Even police officers nearby couldn’t locate the address, though we eventually found it. The next morning I asked where we could park the rental car safely. The host pointed us to an empty square five minutes away and said it would be fine. But there’s a market there twice a week, and on Christmas Eve morning a tow truck took our car to Puerto Rico. Picking it up cost €165, plus a taxi fare. When I called the host, he just said his car had been towed a couple of times too. I’ll leave that there. We also paid €20 to stay until 2:00 PM instead of checking out at 10:00 AM, and I left the money on the table as agreed. Later, thinking I’d lost some cards at the airport, I called the host and got the answering machine. He never called back. I found the cards and messaged him on WhatsApp, but he never replied. We hadn’t asked for anything all week, and the police had towed our car. Thanks for nothing specific, I suppose. Kudos to the host!!!!
