Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso & Hotel

The views are stunning, the rooms are impressively spacious, and the Infinity Pool has a beautiful sense of light and space. We also found the All Inclusive food and drinks to be well looked after, with good meals and refined drinks. The reception and management team stood out for tracking problems and following up by phone, letter, and email to make sure they were resolved. I appreciated their professional response to my injury, which included refunding the spa entrance fee and offering a future upgrade. At the Thalasso Center, I cut myself on the edge of some steps that were hard to see in the low visibility saltwater. I was being very careful and aware of my surroundings, but the injury meant I couldn’t swim for the rest of my holiday. The hotel could improve safety with underwater lights or high visibility warning strips along the submerged edges, since even a cautious guest can miss them. I look forward to coming back for an even safer stay.

The hotel is in a lovely, peaceful spot, with Puerto Rico about a 10 to 15 minute walk away or a 5 euro taxi ride. Port Morgan is worth a visit and easy to reach by boat, bus, or taxi. We took a taxi to the markets for 20 euro for four people, then caught the ferry back for 8 euro each. It made for a nice day out. We enjoyed our week here. Our spacious room had a sea view and terrace, was cleaned to a high standard daily, and came with fresh water. The food was good and offered plenty of choice. There was good entertainment in the bar lounge each evening, and the pool areas had lots of seating and wonderful sea views. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and there’s plenty of space to swim or sunbathe. I especially liked the dining room, with lots of delicious choices and waiters who greeted us warmly and kept a good tone. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, so it’s a great place for a relaxing holiday.

The private pool was AMAZING, and our room was clean, spacious, and really comfortable. The hotel itself is welcoming and well maintained. Everyone contributed to a great stay, from the restaurant team serving every meal with a smile to Ramon at the pool, who was friendly, attentive, and made sure things were just right. El Cubano, the bellboy, was especially warm and helpful, and took care of my car and luggage. At reception, Luis’s leadership and professionalism were clear, and Piero and the rest of the reception lady’s staff were kind, efficient, and always ready to help. I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Gran Canaria, which exceeded my expectations. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Gran Canaria.
