Holiday Club Jardin Amadores

The apartment was just what I needed, comfortable, bright and very clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and the balcony view was lovely. Check-in was easy, and having rented a car, I found it really convenient to park right in front of the hotel. Restaurants and shops are nearby. Simply stunning, an amazing experience!

The room decor is quite dated, but the rooms are very well maintained, nicely sized and equipped with everything you could need. The balconies are huge and face west, so you can watch the sunset. There are two swimming pools at the hotel. The larger one is heated, while the smaller one isn’t and has a slide for kids. Reception is across the road at the Vista Amadores hotel, where you can use the pool and restaurant. There isn’t a restaurant in this hotel.

The terrace and its jacuzzi were a real highlight, with a fantastic view. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, and had loads of useful equipment, including a washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer. The area stays quiet, with no big parties after 11pm, though pubs and bars are about a five-minute walk up the hill. There’s a free shuttle to the beach twice a day, or a taxi costs around 4€ each way. Big five for everything, thank you 👍

We first came to Jardin Amadores when it opened around New Year 2000, and have returned every January since, sometimes also in May, August and November. The people working here are a big part of why every visit has been lovely, whatever the season. Each year our group from Denmark meets for the daily Happy Hour at 16.00. The apartments sleep anywhere from two to six, depending on which one you choose. They’re very large, with lovely terraces looking out over Amadores beach. There’s a properly equipped kitchen for cooking, plus a separate luggage room with a washer, dryer and iron. Every apartment has a safety box. There’s a large pool and a jacuzzi, and two lifts serve the seven floors. The sister hotel Vista Amadores, across the road, has a restaurant. You’re welcome to ask me for more details.
