We stayed at Morasol Suites for a week, as we usually do each winter when visiting my father-in-law, who lives in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. We’ve always chosen Airbnb before, so this was our first hotel stay. The quiet ground-floor hotel was a plus in Puerto Rico, and there were always free sunbeds by the pool. The cleaners were friendly and efficient, and the lifeguard was helpful. We might return, though we now know which room to avoid: room 110 had a strong bad smell in the bathroom on Tuesday, Friday and Monday. Reception said it had never happened before, and a technician put some liquid in the toilet that kept the smell away for three days. Breakfast was okay when we tried it on the first morning, but the bacon was undercooked and chewy. The pool bar food was good, though our son got a stomach bug after being the only one of us to eat its chicken. Beside the hotel, a snack bar’s air conditioning made a high-pitched noise every minute. It’s closed on Mondays, so those days are quiet.

The apartments were spacious, spotless and very well equipped. With two small children in our group, being placed right by the pool bar and children’s pool on the ground floor worked perfectly. Everyone was smiling and seemed to genuinely care about giving guests a great stay. We made so many happy memories at Morasol Suites and would gladly recommend it to friends and family. A special thanks to Paula, Gizella, Francisco, Farra and Daniel at the pool bar. You made the best Sangria and Aperol spritz ever, you guys are the best! And a special mention to David and Cristina at reception for fantastic attention to detail and the best customer service I’ve ever experienced.

We stayed seven nights in a studio suite right in front of the swimming pools and snack bar. It’s a clean hotel with friendly staff and plenty of sun loungers. The harbour area is lovely to walk around, though the supermarket nearby is up a bit of a hill. Perfect from start to finish, we’ll definitely come back.

The location was good and the other staff were fine, but constant pressure from management about towel usage upset my wife so much that we had to move to another hotel. It only takes one person to ruin a holiday.

The harbour location is lovely. It’s quiet, clean and tidy all the time, and the staff are friendly and very helpful.
