The pool was warm, the rooms decent, and the view of the sea was great from higher up. It’s a good location for walking to the beach or Aquinequin, and Lollo & Bernie and the activities were great for the younger kids. Service was good too. Just be aware there’s some noise, with entertainment until about 21.30 most nights. Those ridiculous Otis elevators could use reprogramming.

I’m still feeling unwell after being stuck in the elevator, and I’m very concerned that the hotel hasn’t called to check how we are. My child pressed SOS, but the call was answered only in Spanish and then ended. Staff explained that the calls go to the elevator company, not the hotel, and that they only answer in Spanish and didn’t help us. There was no phone signal, the air became heavy, and we sat on the floor needing help. We banged hard on the door and shouted for around 30 minutes before someone heard us and we got out. My little girl waited helplessly while the air got worse. I don’t think I could have lasted another hour. I worry about letting my child use the elevator alone when she couldn’t understand that its SOS wasn’t helping.

The evening shows were really good, and the staff were friendly and helpful once they were sorting out our room issue. We’d asked for three rooms on the same floor because we were travelling with children, but at check-in they put us on different floors. The hotel fixed the arrangement within two days, and things got better after that. It’s a family-focused place with plenty for kids to do. We were satisfied once everything was sorted. If you’re going as a larger family group, I’d confirm room placement ahead of time.

Antonio at the main bar is a real star. His drinks and service are excellent, and the other bar and waiter staff could learn from his standards. A number of them came across as rude and miserable, almost as if they didn’t want to be there, which is a shame when other staff are so good. Reception were friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and fairly modern, and the pool area is tidy. For the money, the hotel offers great value. Would I return? Probably.
