There was a terrible smell in the room that wouldn’t go away, even with the windows open. The next morning we found bed bugs in the beds, crawling on and biting us. The bathroom also seemed old and dirty. By the pool, an ashtray was so full of cigarette butts that it was on fire when we walked over. Good thing no children were playing there.

The rooms were very clean, and the location worked well for us, whether walking up the hill or driving down and along the coast. There was more than enough choice at breakfast, and the coffee was excellent. I’d recommend it.

It may be rated one star, but this hostel is lovely and clean, if a little dated. The pool was clean too, with plenty of sunbeds. It’s at the bottom of the hill, so getting to the old town means a nice walk uphill. Good value for money.

Rosa was welcoming and very friendly, with a typically Spanish feel. The rooms are small and basic, but clean, with air conditioning, fresh towels and bedding. There’s a bar, limited parking, and a lovely pool with a sunbathing area. Hot water is available on demand. The walk up to the old town square is scenic but steep, taking about 15-20 minutes depending on your fitness. If you enjoy walking, you can also walk to the beach. The photo was taken from the balcony, looking up towards the old town. Good location, cleanliness and value in a popular tourist area.
