There’s a lovely terrace out back, with a wide view over the village of Riego de Ambros. We had friendly, attentive service, and the homemade daily menu was both generous and delicious, with reasonable prices. They also have high chairs for babies. I’d definitely recommend it.

I’d only meant to stop for tea, but wound up staying the night. If you’re taking a rest day in the village, this is a great place to stay. The owners, a grandmother and the restaurant owner, were incredibly kind and helped me properly unwind. My tiredness just melted away. I had a double room with a shared bathroom. The room had a lovely view, and the bathroom was spotless. It’s a very quiet village, which really helps you relax. There’s no kitchen for guests, but the restaurant downstairs serves delicious food. A washing machine is available, and the owner can go with you to do your laundry for 5 euros. There’s no dryer, so you hang everything on a line, but the sun and nice breeze helped even my outerwear dry quickly.
