I really hoped to leave a good review, but the staff and service were awful. We booked ahead and were supposed to use self check-in, but they never sent the entry details. After more than an hour of texts and calls, we finally got the door code, with no information about our room. We chose one upstairs ourselves, only to find that none of the rooms had been cleaned or prepared for guests. They also tried to put us in a tiny room with one double bed, even though we’d paid for two separate single beds. We argued that we weren’t going to accept a downgrade after paying so much. Eventually someone went upstairs to clean a room, and nearly two hours after reaching Molineseca we could finally shower and recover from our long walk. The room turned out to be pleasant, with clean, comfortable beds and a nice bathroom of its own. But the included breakfast was just a bag of toast, meat spreads, jam, cereal with no milk, and a bowl of oranges. No yogurt, eggs, proper bread, or even cheese. Why put cereal out without any milk? It was embarrassing and deeply disappointing. We’d been walking the Camino de Santiago, were exhausted, and had been looking forward to a nice place instead of another loud, hectic hostel.

We never met anyone who worked at The Way during our stay. Check-in was a mess because no one answered my calls or messages. Thankfully, an Irish guest came to the rescue and eventually reached a call centre. It took 15 minutes and several repeated questions to get the entry code and find out which room we’d been assigned. This has sadly been our worst experience so far on the Camino.

The place was clean and modern, the bedroom was fabulous, breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect. Thank you for making me feel so welcome. You made my day on the Camino. Absolutely recommended. ✨🙏

The staff were really friendly, and the price was great. They even looked after our bikes and did our laundry overnight, returning it folded, clean, and dry by morning. The location was excellent, the room was clean and newly renovated, and we had a nice shower and bathroom to ourselves. Breakfast had a delicious spread and the service was great too. Amazing! Say hi to Mati for us if you go.

We paid 40 euro for a double. The room and bathroom were spacious, extremely clean, and well stocked. Our host was helpful in fimdong a good place for paella, and quite funny. The location right on the square beside the river is amazing, with several restaurants nearby. The Camino crosses a bridge right there, where you can swim with the locals, if you don’t mind the water being very cold.
