El Bulín de Montejo

The fireplace is tiny, and they left barely enough fuel to get it going. The kitchen is pretty bare as well, and the house has a rather odd layout.

The room itself matched the offer and was what we expected, so I have no complaints about it. What put me off was the paper listing all the rules and possible penalties. You already agree to those in the terms and conditions, as you pointed out, so the extra sheet feels unnecessary. Its tone is needlessly hostile and made me want to leave. Any past issues the owner has had aren’t the fault of new guests like us. I was going to give it a 3, but after seeing how rudely and aggressively the owner replies to reviews, I’m giving it a 1. Maybe he’ll consider responding differently next time, though I doubt he will.

Parking right by the property was a big help with three children, since finding a convenient spot near your accommodation in these towns can be tough. Being close to the Montejo Beech Forest and the ticket collection point also made the outing easy for our whole group. The terrace has spectacular views, and the rocking chair is a lovely touch. We stayed this past weekend and had a fantastic time. The house is very well maintained and has everything you need, including a spacious shower and thoughtful breakfast touches. Even the fireplace was easy to light, which was great for people like us who aren’t used to it. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a really pleasant weekend at the Vistas apartment. It felt brand new, with lots of thoughtful touches, a very comfortable bed, and a kitchen well stocked with utensils. Julia, the manager, was helpful and quick to deal with anything that came up. Parking can be a bit tricky, though we could always find a space, sometimes close by and sometimes farther away. I’d definitely recommend it. Thanks so much for everything!
