B&B en Casa Santa Baia

The town was lovely, but the room had mold and spiderwebs, and there wasn't even a toilet brush. The hotel looks like it may have been great 20-30 years ago. Now it needs proper sanitation and renovation, and isn't worth the price. It seems to be run by a retired couple.

My room was huge, with big windows and an en-suite. I picked the cheaper option without beach views, and sharing it between two made this a really affordable Camino stop. The staff were helpful and friendly, and everything was clean. The building has a big rooftop balcony, and the old-fashioned decor still has its heyday feel. It even reminded me a bit of Fawlty Towers, which I loved. Gorgeous little beaches are five minutes away, and Praia dos Olmos was my favourite. I loved having a rest day here, with some beach time and a way to avoid the big city of Vigo on the route.

I stayed only 40 minutes, then found somewhere else in Vigo. After walking 25 km on the Camino, all I wanted was a clean bed and shower and somewhere without mold so I could rest. Instead, it was dirty, moldy, and I could hear everything from the hallway and other rooms. The conditions were unacceptable. The place looked nothing like the Booking.com photos. I paid only 10€ less than for a 3* hotel I found afterward. I asked for a refund and still haven't had an answer. Such an awful experience. Please look for other affordable options nearby.

We wanted a pleasant place for a few days, and this suited us well. Our studio apartment had a fridge, cooking facilities, an ensuite shower and toilet, plus a balcony with sea views. The area of Vigo city was beautiful and quiet. The hotel itself has probably seen better days.
