We enjoyed the restaurant, especially the pulpo and rice with something. Staying in a castle was an interesting experience, and the views were lovely. The room was too hot for us, though. The temperature controls didn't work, and it stayed around 24-24.5 C the whole time.

We loved staying here and will be back. The rooms were well equipped, with a really comfortable bed, and the food was great. The staff were fantastic, too. Such a magical place, with history, class, and views all day long.

The cafeteria opens onto a lovely, quiet garden, and the staff were really nice and attentive. This beautiful Parador is set in a very old castle, tastefully renovated with the amenities of a modern hotel. The restaurant serves the standard Paradores menu for Galicia.

Lucia was such a lovely guide, moitas gracias! We visited with friends from the United States and Argentina and loved discovering this hidden gem of Galician culture. The Romanic church, fortress tower, and palace are all must visits, and the views across The Valley of Tamega are amazing.

The impressive views are a highlight. It's a historic building that's been suitably renovated and improved, in a very nice location. The nearby highway makes getting around straightforward, linking galicia with the capital Madrid.
