Beautifully restored for everyone to use, this former castle ruin now houses a library and cultural center.

It’s now used as a library and cultural center, and the exterior is in great shape. I just wish there were more historical information, and that the original structure had perhaps been preserved more faithfully.

The area around Torrebillela Park is lovely for a walk, especially in summer, with the Butrón River and leafy trees offering plenty of shade. There’s also a bar with outdoor tables for food and drinks. Nearby, the Torrebillela tower house is a beautiful medieval building that has been remodeled several times over the years. It was nearly abandoned forty years ago, with the interior in ruins, but has since been rebuilt as a cultural center with exhibition halls, workshops, a library, and more.
