ibis budget Huerta De Murcia

Cleanliness was easily the strongest point, and the staff were friendly, respectful, and easy to talk to. Breakfast was average, and the overall service was okay. But the atmosphere and interior felt plain, and compared with other Ibis Budget hotels I’ve stayed in around Europe, this was the least satisfying and least functional. The room practicality was the main problem. There was no wardrobe, only a few wall hangers, and no bedside shelf or table, so our phone and book had to stay on the floor. There was no hairdryer in the room either. You have to ask at reception, and if you don’t notice it’s missing before your shower, you’ll have to go downstairs with wet hair to get one. Usually you can ask reception for an iron and small board at Ibis Budget hotels. Here, there’s an ironing spot in the basement, and the iron is chained to the table, which makes it awkward to use. For an Ibis Budget, the decor and feel were below the usual standard. I wouldn’t stay here again, and hope these issues are taken seriously and improved.

Very budget in feel, but priced like five stars. The silverware is stained and marked from earlier use. It needs a new dishwasher!

We were just passing through and stayed one night with our dog. It worked perfectly for that, and being dog friendly is a real plus since many hotels don’t allow dogs. The machine coffee tastes horrible, so better get coffee somewhere else. There’s also no toilet brush, which is a real downside if you’re staying longer.

Breakfast was the best part, and it’s a great place to rest. The Ibis rooms are comfortable and have TVs, and the bath is big enough even for two. The parking area is huge, with plenty of space and easy access in and out. Murcia’s city centre is beautiful and full of gardens, about a 30-minute walk from the hotel.
