I called at the hotel yesterday evening, but the only room available was for three people and didn’t fit what I needed. That was fine, I could just move on. What bothered me was the receptionist’s manner. She was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, and didn’t seem interested in suggesting somewhere else or offering any help. It was nothing like the reviews I’d read beforehand. Maybe she was having a very bad day, but if not, she could use a customer service course.

My room felt lovingly put together and was really comfortable, with a beautiful balcony and plenty of space. The staff were charming and incredibly helpful. I want to get back to Nájera as soon as possible!

The room and bathroom were a good size, and breakfast at the hotel was very good. They didn’t serve dinner, but the woman recommended a restaurant around the corner that turned out to be really good value and very good.

The hotel is only meters from St James way. Along our Camino, it had the best pillows so far and the largest bathroom and toilet. Breakfast was very good, with freshly squeezed orange juice. Dinner was arranged through a local restaurant-bar just around the corner. Nice, comfy place.

It’s clean and charming, with a lovely rustic feel. You can hear activity outside very clearly, even with the window closed, which was my only complaint. I’d definitely stay here again.
